Hi Eugene,

I don't think I spotted your delightful welcome from what feels like a lifetime ago. So, somewhat belatedly, thank you. Now that the class of 2010 has been chosen I've been thinking of what sort of welcome 2009 can give to the new generation.

I've added your post to my slow growing collection of Clarion experiences. Let me know if you have more Clarion blog posts/links you would like me to add (http://lizargall.com/2009/03/clarion-blogs/).

Best

Eugene,
Your advice is very much appreciated. Now that the tension of waiting to hear about the class of 2009 is over, I've had some time to deal with my mixed feelings about being rejected. I'm more determined to write and learn than before, and I've made some interesting connections with other writers. I even have some hope; maybe I am a decent writer, if I came "very close" to being admitted.

Thanks for sharing your photo and story.
